Want to Write Your Name on My Wall???

Hey there! Oh, how I wish there was a more fun way of doing this!  Back when I was in college, I had a loft/bunk bed thing.  (Imagine a sheet of plywood with rails around it on 4x4 stilts.)  It was made by a guy (who I would marry someday) who sold it to someone who sold it to me and my roomie Stacie.  Somehow the bottom of the plywood turned into a place for people to write goofy graffiti kind of stuff.  Super silly and super fun to invite someone who's visiting to write on the underside of the bunk bed.  : )  Good times...

Fast forward to when that guy and I got married and moved into a huge old house with 4 bedrooms...  one of which had rainbow striped wallpaper adorning it.  (Imagine white wallpaper...  with little rainbow lines running up and down the whole thing.)  All four walls.  Well, we had way too many other things to fix up and no purpose for that room at the time so it became our hilariously fun tradition to have guests SIGN THE WALLS in there with big, black permanent markers.  It was SO MUCH FUN to see everyone's personalities come out in how they signed their names.  First of all, some people were super hesitant to write on a wall in permanent marker even if the owner of the house was telling them to please do it, so they would write their names very small somewhere.  Perhaps they were the introverts.  Then there were the extroverts who would write their name - first, middle & last - as big as they could... maybe even in 3-D block letters.  : )

I got the idea of starting a guest-book of sorts for my blog and thought I'd try it because even though I have an official "No Guilt Blog" statement on my side bar (that I still stand by), I do still wonder occasionally who is out there reading my musings.   So if you would be inclined to let me know you stopped by by "signing" my "Wall" here, it would make me smile.  : )  Let your personality shine and tell me if you were writing on my old rainbow walls whether or not you'd be a small first name only or a big first-middle-last-with-a-smiley-face.

Thanks...  : )

Signed,
Melissa May Ens - in big fat letters with a big huge smiley face
(Of course!)

P.S.  Ummm... if you actually write in permanent marker on your computer screen it won't actually end up on my blog.  You have to leave a comment.  In case I didn't make that clear...  ; )

I remember writing underneath the coffee table when we were kids; I even wrote Don's name to get him in trouble, but it didn't work as the folks never saw it. Wonder what ever happened to that table. Dad

I never saw your wall but I imagine it was so much fun just like you all are. Keep your joyous attitude for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
